Not plug and play, or even close

I used these to replace low beam headlights on a Mitsubishi lancer. These use a lower voltage and pulsed current to dim the output of halogens. The LEDs flicker. Product assistance from Sylvania suggested an adapter, but there are no adapters that address the pulsed current and lower voltage together (and the adapters state they DO NOT work with low beam daytime running lights). There should be a warning on the packaging that these do not work if the low beams also serve as daytime running lights to prevent the hassle of scratched fingers and skinned knuckles to replace and then re-replace bulbs and make multiple visits to the store.

Like the lights but..

I bought these a couple fays ago and installed into my car. When on daytime running lights, they flicker/strobe until i put on my low beams. not a huge fan of the product. cant find a way to fix problem

Q: I want to install LED low beam headlights in my 2015 Ram Bighorn. How do I get the rubber boot back on after installing the bulbs? The heat-fin portion looks too large for the boot. Or do the rubber boots not go back on? Todd

A: Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately the 9006 LED Headlight Bulbs may not fit all vehicles due to the 1.5" clearance required for the heat sink. The bulbs are warrantied and with a receipt, you should be able to return to Canadian Tire if needed. I apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Q: Hi there, they will fit my 2013 civic? 9006 on low beam? I mean they will insure a good beam pattern? What type of LED are these bulbs using? Thank you. Paul.

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting us. We do not foresee an issue with using a 9006 LED Gen3.0 in a Civic in low beam application. We cannot insure a good beam pattern because the beam pattern will depend on the quality of the headlight reflector and optics. The bulb will issue the specified lumen output for that bulb type. We use high-power / high-flux density SMD LEDs.

Q: Hello will the H7 LED fit a 2015 VW Jetta Comfortline? Will it cause the lamp out light to turn on in the dash? Does it have a resistor built in? Please advise thanks.

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting us! I see that the H7 will fit a standard 2015 VW Jetta; however sometimes specific production runs call for a different bulb. We recommend reviewing the owner's manual for the vehicle to confirm the correct replacement part. There is not a load resistor built in to the bulbs. Load Resistors must be mounted on a metal surface, external to the bulbs, in order to protect them from the heat.

Q: What is the voltage range that these will operate at? If my drl is less than 8V will these bulbs still work? What LED chips are you using? Are these CAN bus compatible? Would they work with a TIPM system? How is the beam pattern compared to stock halogen?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting us. These LED bulbs will not operate under 8V. We cannot comment on which LED chips are used. In some applications, a CANBUS adapter is required for proper function with our lamps. Finally, the SYLVANIA LED 9006 bulb is designed to deliver the same lumen output as specified for the halogen bulb it replaces. The headlight design and conditions will determine the beam pattern.
