This is an excellent cabinet for any deck. Even after a heavy rainstorm everything inside is still dry. The doors can be somewhat stubborn to open and close, but it’s not a big deal. Great addition to any deck.

Deck storage

We just got this item this summer and so far happy with it. I would suggest some improvement for the doors Since they don’t really move and open very smoothly. But overall useful for my household.

Q: Does the unit require the shelf, or can it function without it if I have something tall to store?

A: It actually doesn't function well with or without the shelf. It falls apart. We just put it together after buying it a few months ago. And not happy with it.
