First purchase was for me. This one will be a gift for a granddaughter who has started knitting. Yes, this is to weigh a ball of yarn, so that I can knit two Sophie scarves with the one ball. Scale is accurate and works like a charm. Available in both Imperial (in) and Metric (cm, mm) systems.

Q: Does this scale measure in grains, and/or other units of measurement? By (grains) I mean the units used to measure things like bullets, gunpowder, arrows, and arrowheads. I would want it for that purpose.

A: Ozt stands for ounce, troy scale. A gram is 15.43236 troy grains. Dwt = A pennyweight (from denarius weight) is a unit of mass that is equal to 24 grains. And the usual Oz(ounce) and g(gram). For a total of 4 units of measurements.
