OK for Cottage, but USB not compatible with iPhone7

This seems like a good replacement for my cottage FM radio / bluetooth. The 100W power rating is quite a stretch (2x4W +12W), but is ok for my purposes. I was thinking the USB port would be good for charging my iPhone7, but it displays a message about not being compatible - not that I would use it for that very much. A little surprised that there wasn't a direct to 120V plug, but using a spare iPhone USB plug seems to work fine.

The box reads 100 watts, but the speakers are 2 X 4 watts each. And the sub is 12 watts. It would be fine for the backyard, but I was looking for something loud to bring to gymnasiums / ice rinks etc...

What to look for...

The first one of these I brought was defective, when you turned it on the volume went to 32 and it would only remember 8 FM presets. I returned it.
This good one acts perfectly. turning it off and on, the volume stays at a nice listening volume of 8 or so. It also programmed about 50 FM presets.
It looks good, doesn't take up much space on the picnic table and sounds great.
I run a MP3 player into the AUX input as the MP3 player can randomize the music and use playlists. the USB port and the SD ram card socket on this device can only play sequentially, alphabetically the MP3 files.
My only quandary is to buy a second one for my trailer.

this speaker is quite the boombox for a house its nice and loud i use it on my front porch when i sit down and enjoy the fresh air. and it echos across the street on full blast with it on bluetooth however its much better if u bought 2 and hooked them up with a auxiliary split (headphone split). i use this for partys outdoors and its loud! i can hear the music from one area to the next! if u hook them both up like i said it makes the audio 200 watts and louder.

A: Both of the units I unboxed only had a 12volt cigarette lighter to USB. just like what you use to charge your iPhone in a car. I charge mine with a home iPhone charger and and old Blackberry A/C charger that works great (and someone just gave it to me). The plug is a mini-USB on the boom box end so it is exactly like the old blackberry charger cable.

Q: Box says 100W / Specs say 4W The box says one thing (100 Watts) yet the pamphlet says another (Speakers 2x4 Watts). Nothing in the pamphlet dictates the speakers are 100 watt output. I'm not a mathematician but I can tell there's a big difference between 4 watts and 100 watts

A: There are 4W for each front speaker, total 8W for two speakers. The bottom subwoofer is 12W. These are all Rated Power. Also called RMS power. The total RMS power for this unit is 20W. We also declared it is a 100Watts MAX which is a maximum output power. Usually, 4 to 6 times of RMS power is a MAX power, depends on the design and structure. Our CSF-D45B is 5 times of RMS power, which is 100W Max

A: Yes it can be, however it’s not recommended. As with most rechargeable devices, it’s best to unplug the charger. This device uses a 5V/2.1A DC charger.
