This is a must tool to have around the house, I have installed drywall, built a fence and numerous other little jobs around the house, a lot easier than using a hand screwdriver. I wouldn't go without it.

Bought about a year ago If I charge the battery it dies just sitting overnight. I can only screw 5 - 10 screws before it dies on me. Had a 12 volt as well it is no better.

Q: does it use 3/4 inch drill? I am installing an extended metal cage on my pick up and need 3/4 inch holes.

A: Thank you for your question. The maximum capacity for mild metal is 3/8" diameter. Hard wood 1/2" and soft wood 1-1/8".

Q: How to remove the chuck? I just bought this in store. I can disconnect the battery pack, and turned clockwise to remove the chuck, but can not.

A: Thank you for your question. If you just purchased the Skil drill/driver you would not want to remove the chuck. The only time you would need to remove the chuck is if it needs to be replaced in case the chuck would happen to fail.
