Hose does not suck anymore...canister has the suction.

SO I HAVE HAD MINE FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS, NOT USED A LOT. THE SUCTION HAS CRAPPED OUT ON THE HOSE. SORRY I GAVE UP MY ELECTROLUX. THE CANISTER HAS GREAT SUCTION! ATTACH THE HOSE AND YOU GET LITTLE SUCTION. CANNOT GET A NEW HOSE. SHARK SITE HAS ONLY BELTS AND VACUUM BAGS. POOR PURCHASE. WILL NOT BUY SHARK AGAIN. I HAVE A DYSON NOW! BETTER CUSTOMER SUPPORT! ESPECIALLY WITH OLDER MODELS. I BOUGHT THE V6.

Do not buy this useless piece of garbage constantly plugging up bags overpriced . Loud if you want one you can have mine worthless overpriced what else can I say buy something else

Love the shark - can't afford the Dyson

Won my purple shark at a curling bonspiel, absolutely love it! Had it since 2004. But need to replace it now because the handle broke. Other than that, it still works great. Highly recommended! I would love a Dyson but can't afford it.

Great vacuum

Over all this is an excellent machine for the price, which we got on sale. I have been using it for 6 weeks, so about 12 uses all up. We have a large dog and two cats.
It has good suction, is easily manoeuvrable and the motorized brush head works very well with animal fur and general carpet debris, much better than the Dyson upright that it has replaced.
The hardwood floor tool does seem to have rather brittle plastic for the tube connection, but I have been only very lightly sliding it onto the tube, so hopefully it will not crack over time like some of the other reviews.
The headlamp on the floor unit is extremely bright!! You do not have to option to turn off the light separately as it turns off and on with the motor floor brush via the switch on the handle. It is so bright that I see spots for a few minutes after vacuuming.
The power cord is not as long as the Dyson's was, not a big problem, but I could vacuum the whole house from a central outlet, and with this I have to move the plug twice. Now I just use an extension cord from one outlet.
After 12 full house vacuums I have only just replaced the dust bag, and it was not quite full yet. I hadn't noticed any real loss of suction. That's with a large dog and two cats worth of fur too.
So don't let the minor things put you off this machine, overall its performance is great for the low cost, especially if you catch it on sale.

A: Yes. Bought bags at CT when I bought the vacuum. Turns out there was already 4 bags with the vacuum in the box.

A: Yes. Noticed this as well. Turned the power down with the slider on top of vacuum until the sound diminished. There was still plenty of suction.

Q: Does this vacuum have an blowing end? I need a vacuum that has a blow out end that you can attach the hose to. Does this vacuum have one or recommendations of a in-expensive vacuum that does. Thanks

A: Only bags, fliters and belts are available from Canadian Tire. Shark doesn't even list this model on their website.

A: They are only available at Canadian Tire. You will find them in the aisle with the vacuum cleaners. The package has a picture of the vacuum model on it. I purchased bags recently for $10 plus tax for 3 bags.
