Slight design flaw for grass seeds and fertiliser mixture. Not evenly spread and there is no spread reducer for small lawns. Wasted a lot of seed mixture on my wooden deck. But its $30 bucks, works for me, will go away from the deck next round.

Q: Does this work to spread road salt

- A: I have used this product in the past to spread fertilizers to my lawn. But recently because of heavy snow and the need to clear the sidewalk I bought a new spreader. This product works beautifully as it spreads the salt on the sidewalk and my driveway in less than 15 mins. whereas it would have taken me at least 40mins. if I had used only my hand. The other feature that I like is that it allows me to adjust the amount of salt that needs to be deposited. I highly recommend this product for spreading salt on the walkways, roads or any places that need salt.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: The handheld Scotts spreader I purchased last year has only 5 settings. I also have Scotts Weed & Feed fertilizer that recommends setting 15 for its product. Can I still use with the handheld spreader? I have a small garden, 15' x 45'.
