We have purchased Sauder furniture in the past. This cupboard is a disappointment.
The sides are not thick enough for the usual cam locks or dowel fitting used commonly in flat pack DIY assembled furniture. Instead the kit comes with screws which damaged the side panel when fully screwed in. Also the pre drilled holes did not match up in some spots.
The door handles are nice. The unit was on sale so if it doesn’t last long Im not out a lot on money. Fortunately it is storing my sewing supplies in my sewing room so won’t be overloaded. I guess you get what you pay for.

Q: The dimensions say: 23 5/8" W x 12 3/8" D x 60" H (50 x 31.3 x 152.4 cm) But 23 inches is more than 50 cm, so which is right? The inch versus cm is not adding up..!

Q: Must you install the shelves? Can it be used as broom/mop storage?

A: You could readily cut a reasonable portion out of the middle shelf to allow broom/mop storage. I cut out 6" deep, 4" wide 3" out from end and it hasn't effected stability in anyway. Did this over 3 years ago,

A: I do not have mine secured to the wall it’s very sturdy! We just keep the heaviest stuff on the bottom shelf. Can’t remember what is on the bottom, but I think there was something there!

Q: When this is assembled, are there any gaps (anywhere, not only where the doors meet) when the unit doors are closed? I am *not* asking if it is air-tight, but I want to know if there are small gaps, for example, 1/16".

A: I found it difficult to get the inside door leveled, so on my cabinet the doors do have some overlap, but there is a small gap where the top of the inside door doesn't meet the frame.

A: There is no feet on this unit. The only way to accommodate for uneven floors would be to use shims of some sort.
