Rust Check Rust Inhibitor Spray provides a combination of multi-purpose protection from corrosion with advanced lubrication. This deep-penetrating substance bonds to metal, dispelling moisture that often acts as the leading cause of corrosion. The spray also loosens seized nuts, bolts, and fittings, lubricates intricate mechanisms like chains, locks, hinges, or gears, and protects metals of all ages.

This is the second can I’ve bought recently and the quality of the nozzle is horrible. More product comes out between the nozzle and the straw than the end of the straw. So be ready to have your entire hand covered in oil

Car-Cinoma Prevention Car Cancer/Rust Prevention

If poking you're head under the car or around wheel wells, spraying this can reduce "car-cinoma", dreaded car cancer/ rust corrosion. In the trunk seams, use the spray wand for bottom of doors. It sprays great. I wish I had a car lift and a couple of cans and I could do the under carriage. I lost my Dad's 13 year old car to Car-cinoma with only 75,000km. So young, so sad, destined for Zubicks.

Rust Check - nozzle spray too fine

Its the excellent product that I expected but the spray from the nozzle is too fine to coat a surface. The can is also only about 50% the size of my previous can.

A: No. This is for preventing rust from spreading. Its perfect for that. Graphine or possibly wd40 for your lock.

A: Yes. But it’s messy. It never cures and it will get on your hands when you touch it. But, it prevents rust.

Q: What do you use to clean it with before painting

A: I think you meant " how do you remove it oncd applied, if you intend to paint that same area ? Use a towel , rag or clotb to wipe off excess rustproofing. . Remove the remaining film with mineral spirits . Remove all rust loose paint with wire brush , I even wipe down with alcohol ... then ypur paint should adhere .

A: Hello there , Rust Check will slow down rust by displacing moisture, but it won’t stop or seal existing rust completely. For best results, clean off loose rust first and optionally use a rust converter before applying. Please contact your nearest store for more information. Thanks

A: Unfortunately, it is not recommended for this application. The oils in this product may be absorbed by the rubber tires. This may affect both tire performance and the seal between tire and rim.
