Q: How hot can it be when applying the stain to spruce deck, which is previously stained with acrylic latex product?

A: We applied it here in Canada when it was about 75 degrees Fahrenheit after thorough cleaning of the upper and lower deck. I think there’s specific instructions on the Rez can. I would suggest an early morning or cooler evening if the temperature is in the 90’s. This stain form was fantastic because it is a solid stain and went on so smoothly on a deck that was 7 years old and weather worn and the brand new deck. As I have said I am very pleased and satisfied with the finish but following the manufacturers instructions is most important

Q: Can this be used in a paint sprayer, if so would it need to be watered down?

A: I wouldn't bother we painted our deck that was new lumber left one year and sanded. This spring we notice bare spots Then during a rain I could wipe the stain off with my hand . So good luck I never buy in fact I have two spare gallons I'll give you
