Only lasted 14 months

The warranty is only 1 year, however, they do not tell you that anywhere in the owner's manual and guess what - if you go less than 2 months past that 1 year warranty - the company will refuse to do anything. My last microwave lasted 23 years - I'm going back to that brand. Do not waste your money on a product the company will not stand behind with a reasonable warranty!

YES: You Can Enter Seconds

Some people say you cannot enter seconds. But we figured out how to. Press "Power" first - You will see PL... Then number of seconds you want - then "Start" and there you go, you have your "seconds".

A: Pressing COOK does not work. You have tp push the Power button on the left and then enter your time.

A: Il y a moyen de programmer les secondes : on doit d'abord appuyer sur le bouton Power (même si on ne veut pas apporter de modifications au niveau de la puissance de la cuisson). Quand l'info sur la puissance s'affiche, on n'y touche pas (à moins justement de vouloir modifier cette puissance) ; on continue la procédure en appuyant une fois seulement sur la touche Timer pour entrer la durée de cuisson voulue (ex. 1:15 pour une cuisson de 1 minute et 15 secondes), puis on appuie ensuite sur la touche Start pour démarrer la cuisson au four : la cuisson commence et, à mon avis, le bruit alors émis par le four est si faible que s'il y a trop de bruit autour de nous, on n'entend pas vraiment la cuisson démarrer et on croit que cette procédure n'a pas fonctionné. Pourtant, elle s'exécute : mettez la main sur le four et vous le sentirez vibrer et se réchauffer à mesure que la cuisson se fait. La cuisson en minutes et secondes me semble moins bruyante que la cuisson express (genre 1 ,2 ou 3 minutes, etc.), ce qui peut nous faire croire que le four ne chauffe pas quand on procède ainsi. Je répète : on appuie sur Power, puis sur Timer (et on règle le minutage qu'on a choisi), puis on appuie sur Start. Et la cuisson commence. Sinon, c'est que le four est défectueux. Espérant que cette explication a été utile, car la procédure à suivre est archi mal expliquée dans le livret d'instruction, autant en anglais qu'en français - il est là, le VRAI problème alors qu'il est quasiment impossible de rejoindre Curtis Int. (le propriétaire du fabricant RCA) à la fois sur le Web ou au téléphone. C'est un bon four avec une procédure pas évidente au premier abord et un service après-vente pourri !
