8 years agoA: This product cannot be tinted or painted over, the tinting formula may impact the performance of the product.

8 years agoA: The Premium Elastomeric White Roof Coating is meant to be applied at temperatures greater than 1ºC, and should not be allowed to freeze in the can when the product has not been applied. However, once applied to the roof of an RV, the product can withstand the elements. While the product does harden in extreme cold temperatures, it is still safe for use during the winter month’s while the RV is parked and not in use.

8 years agoA: The premium roof top coating can often be completed over a two-day weekend in warm weather. Dry, sunny weather over 20°C or 70°F is ideal. Avoid periods of very cold nights when dew and frost can be a problem.

Q: How can I get the technical data sheet for Kool Seal Premium White Elastomeric Coating? and also the sample? I am doing a research on effectiveness of different types of cool coating in cold climate with hot summer. That's why I am collecting samples for study along with the technical data sheets. It would be helpful to have a quick reply.

Q: Primer? does this product require a primer or activator prior to using this product?
10 years agoA: A primer is not required when applying this product to the following substrate materials: Metal, Concrete, Foam, Brick, Flat Cement Tile, Unglazed Barrel Cement Tile, Aged Aluminum Coatings, Existing Elastomeric Roof Coatings. However, adequate surface preparation is required for proper adhesion. The manufacturer recommends the following procedures: Remove all previous coating that are loose by scraping or wire brushing. Then, scrub the roof with a water and detergent solution to remove all dirt, oil and grease. Areas with built-up mildew must be treated with 1 part chlorine bleach, 3 parts water, then washed with detergent. Rinse surface thoroughly and let dry. Simply sweeping a roof surface to remove dirt is ineffective. Please be sure to following the directions and warnings on the package.

Q: Plas-T-Cote RV Roof Coating Is this product to be used for patching only. can it be used for covering a new roof. ?
18 years agoA: This product is designed for the patching of hard surface RV roofs such as metal or fiberglass that develop leaks. It can be used as a paint to seal RV's and Mobile Homes which have a metal or fiberglass roofs. This product should not be used on rubber or EDPM roofs. Large cracks and leaks might require further repair before painting to completely repair. Always consult your owners manual to see how painiting might effect your warranty before starting repairs.
