Won't rotate and pullout leaks inside. Had some water damaged in the basement. Called Peerless and they wanted a model number. We'll no model number was printed on the product itself..only on the packaging. Called Canadiantire to get a model number but no help there as no stores carry this model. If anyone has a model number for this please post it as an answer to my question under the question in this same area. Thanks.

No, I do not recommend this product.

easy to install, had some of the same problems as other reviewers, major was seizing of the spout, had it apart numerous times. problem is food particles / water etc get pulled inside when hose slides back inside, the metal part corrodes, o ring binds and the spout wont turn, cleaned it out, removed corrosion and works for a while, tried lubing with silicone, soap, Vaseline, 3-4 months back to same - 5 years ago I cleaned again and used hi temp grease to seal the surface and lube the orings - never looked at it again.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

You Get What You Pay For

In the world of faucets this is on the low end and the performance shows that. It might be fine for occasional use but not practical for daily/constant use. First thing that happened was similar to other postings here; the swivel function became very difficult. Peerless customer service gave me replacement parts no problem; they are very friendly and helpful. The second thing was that the hose sprung a slow leak resulting in the obvious; a mess in the cabinet under the sink. Again, replacement was not a problem. They even gave me a whole new soap pump which seemed to have developed a occasional annoying habit of not dispensing soap! My current issue is that there is a leak from under the housing on the main "post" which I am told is most likely the cartridge. I am sure Peerless will provide a replacement but I feel that in the 3 years I've had it the time may have come to simply replace it with a better quality faucet given that it gets a great deal of use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    • A: Tighten the hose connecting to the pull-out faucet head. That tends to loosen over time. Best to tighten it (but not over tighten) with a pair of pliers on the hose head and the pull-out faucet head in your hand.

Q: How does spray feature work? Two questions: 1) Does the faucet have two settings, stream and spray? 2) If so, does it automatically reset to one or the other after the water is turned off?

    • A: This faucet has 2 settings and it automatically goes back to stream when shut off.

Q: Why does the Peerless single kitchen faucet spout out cold water at the top of the tap. This does not happen when I run the hot water. Why does my faucet not move side to side from one sink to the next. It will not budge.

    • A: "Best advice would be to buy a better quality faucet and save the long term aggravation. This model Peerless (825-4004) uses a cartridge with a twin ceramic plate seal inline but perpendicular to flow. these plates need to be perfectly parallel and have even pressure applied to function optimally, however the cartridge is torqued in place with a nut/helical screw arrangement causing asymmetrical loading on the plates. Because of this the unit is prone to premature wear of the plates on the cold water side eventually leading to a persistent leak at the faucet head. It is also common for these units to leak inside the faucet body, which eventually leads to corrosion and seizing of the faucet armature to the point that it will no longer pivot from sink to sink. Expect to get two years (maximum) out of a cartridge. Customer service at Peerless/Delta Canada is excellent, but the Canadian number is not on the website (it is 1-800-567-3300). Unfortunately the best they can do is replace the worn cartridge free of charge. That will get you another couple of years of use which is only prolonging the inevitable - replacement. I've not had the internal leak issue but I've read that they will replace the unit if this happens.

Q: Is there any way to repair a faucet that is binding in the body of the faucet and will not move freely from one side to the other?

    • A: Contact Peerless. http://www.peerlessfaucet.com/customer-support/index.html The unit is either poorly designed or poorly manufactered or both. Peerless will likely send you a replacement which will last you another 2 - 3 years before it shows it's true colours as a lemon. I really thought that I had bought a great product when I bought this unit. Was soely disappointed.

Q: Can you hook up a dishwasher to this faucet?

    • A: no this cannot be used to hook up to a protable dishwasher...I did it after being told by the company it would viold warranty...the part that the adapter screws on is plastic threads..they didn't hold and blew the hose off...so I then glued the dishwasher adapter in...then as the hot water comes into the tap nozzle it soften the plastic insert and nozzle flies apart and you have water everywhere....after my own personal test...very good tap....no good for dishwasher
