More work than what it's worth

I purchased this about a week ago either I was missing parts or I'm new to installing taps after doing stuff like this before. The fitting had to be adjusted from a female to a male to install braided line.

This product was previously bought by someone and hardware was missing. When opened, nothing was packaged....just shoved in with missing hardware. Super disappointed that they put a return back on the shelf without checking the box.
