Having used a gas powered Sears monster snow blower for years, it was time to try out the Ego line, and I wasn’t disappointed. For starters, the design and colors make it look like an art piece! My first and only experience thus far was with a 12 inch snowfall (I prefer to work on 4-6 inches at a time); it required much effort on my part, pushing through the volume, but it accomplished the task satisfactorily. However, it did use up battery power very quickly and this may be a testament to the volume of snow and my not using the power conservatively. The beauty of this beast was the absence of gas fumes and a noise level far lower than the gas unit. I had a 30in machine, quite heavy and somewhat difficult to maneuver, so I opted for a 24in unit which more than handled the job. The only drawback was the handles—holding them in the power position requires wrist and hand work which can be fatiguing for older users. The other issue was with the lighting, which really didn’t light up the path ahead. Overall I still give this monsta 5 stars!!!

Throws snow like a champ

Great with dry snow. Good with wet snow. Lots of wet snow, 2 sets of batteries would be best. We have a standard 3 car driveway in a subdivision on a corner lot. The blizzard a few days ago was manageable until that afternoon it warmed up and turned the snow into 12" of amazing snowball making snow. Could not clear all the concrete with the 2 10amp hour batteries. But right up until the batteries needed recharging it worked great.

Plenty of power but battery life challenged

I purchased the SNT-2416 with two 10 Ah batteries. I just used the blower four times from our recent blizzard in Wisconsin where we had over 24" of snow in 36 hours. Our driveway is about 1200 sf and has a 3' incline from the road, along with a sidewalk. The blower had plenty of power and was able to cut through the snow thrown into the driveway from the street. The biggest challenge is battery life. I cannot get through my entire driveway with the two batteries provided. I had an older 7.5 Ah battery and bought an extra 10 Ah battery as a backup pair. This allowed me to get through each run without waiting two hours for the batteries to recharge. I would recommend the blower but beware how large your driveway is and whether it can handle it.

we just had 10 cm of wet snow and the city had plowed so my driveway had a 30 cm snow pile at the bottom i have a 6 car driveway , the snt2416 just went like a hot knife on butter. it took me about 25 minutes and i used up only 1 light on the batteries. Do not regret my purchase. I
