Great knife for the price

Great knife for the money. Aus 8 is a decent middle end steel, pretty tough, takes a nice sharpening. I got it on sale, cant beat the value on sale. Also this is a hunting knife, that means it should be used for hunting. Great blade shape, full tang and 0.16 inch blade thickness. I would love this exact blade shape in a steel like magnacut, or 3v.

I have had it for three years and used it twice before a camping trip a couple of days ago and decided to sharpen it, and when I tried carving with it, the blade snaped. when i looked at the snaped blade, it had a lot of cracks visible on the edge. I wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't recommend it.
