Adequate, but has a design issue.

This chair is adequate. The good is that it seems sturdy and of good quality. The bad is that the upper back is too narrow, so for anyone with any more than a very slim frame the edges of the upper back will essentially dig into your shoulder blades. It is tolerable for short periods, but is ultimately an unfortunate design. It looks nice, but is not particularly comfortable due to the narrow upper back.

Back of the chair covered with mold!

I bought that For Living chair online 3 days ago. As requested, it was delivered to my building on the same day. However, although I clearly included my unit number, the delivery guy refused to deliver it to my door and asked me to come down to the lobby where he was waiting. I had to carry it to my unit. When I looked closer to the box, it was obvious by the cut tape that it had already been opened, then repacked. Obviously, this chair had been already sold, then returned for some reason, then re-sold online. This is fine as it was a clearance price. However, when unpacking, I realized that the back of the chair was covered with stains looking like mold. Disgusting! CT, if you want to resell items, at least make sure you check them first before! I am returning it today and expect a full refund. See pics.

Not Durable - broken after 15 months

This office chair seemed fine at first, comfortable enough. But after purchasing it less than 16 months ago the chair now sinks anytime it's sat in so obviously the piston is shot. If you're expecting some longevity you're not likely to get it from this chair.

  • A: The chair does tilt back and can be locked upright, however the back rest cannot recline independently from the base
