Great buy on an after Christmas sale

This led projection lamp is great. It covers a very large area even when mounted fairly close to whatever your building your using as a background! Easy plug and play just plug it in just after dark the internal time shuts it down after 6 Hours and turns back on 18 hours later the next day! You have the choice of colours and either static or 3 animated speeds.

Simple to use and reliable. Might be disappointing if you are looking to have house lit up and visible from a good distance. End of typical driveway no problem--but up the street the lights do not reflect off the house very strongly. Only really see the lights near the house.

I want to love this thing. It makes our house look great. But the 6 hour automatic not able to be changed timer ruins the whole thing. There should be a timer off setting to choose. We have all of our lights on a timer but this one shuts off before any of the others do.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Almost all dots are green, 5% or less are red, even after letting my eyes adjust. Is this normal operation or defect?

A: So, I am answering my own question, but figured this out so this is FYI in case another purchaser has a similar query and, like me, incorrectly suspects the projector may be faulty. It looked like it was projecting almost all green dots and I saw very few red dots. But when I held a white piece of fabric in front of the projector I saw a roughly even number of each colour. I figured what was happening was because I was projecting onto conifer trees the reds just didn't show up well. This was confirmed after the first snowfall... when the trees were caked in snow I saw many more red dots than before. An aside: a bonus when projecting onto trees is that when their limbs move in the wind, the laser dots appear to twinkle!

Q: Does the projector panel get hot enough to keep snow clear off the panel??

A: No it does not. I use a hollow metal tube from one of my solar lights to raise it off the ground by about two feet otherwise it will get buried in snow.

Q: When the unit is set to medium twinkle, for example, will it remain on that setting once the timer turns it on again, or does it default to stationary?

A: Thanks for reaching out. If the unit is turned off but it's still connected with power, it will still keep the previous setting when the product is turn on again.

A: Thanks for reaching out. Once the laser projected light is turned on, it will enter default mode with the laser on and the automatic timer in 6 hours on and 18 hours off mode.
