Q: What type of plastic is used in manufacturing this product? Is it safe at room temperatures? Will the plastic leach out of the container and into the water?

A: Thanks for asking this about our Denali Pitcher, Trevor. The reservoir and pitcher are made from polystyrene. The handle and lid are made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). These materials don't contain any polycarbonate or any phthalates. All of our products are tested and certified by NSF International and/or WQA for both material safety and filtration performance. We advise hand-washing your pitcher, lid, and reservoir periodically with a mild detergent.
