Poor access to filter to clean

Buyer beware of where you will be putting this unit. I had to return this unit because I realized to pull out filter and clean it meant pulling it out on the right side. How this would be in my window , would make this task impossible to do. Hoping i can find a 5,000 BTU unit with filter that lifts from top or the front opens for easy access. If not , I’ll have to go back to portable unit which I was trying to avoid due to space in my bedroom.

I bought this for my computer room. I was debating between this model (dogital) and a $20 cheaper one (analog), I'm glad I got the digital readout version, it is quite accurate and cuts in and out at the set temperature if set to eco mode. If you turn eco mode off the fan will keep running, which may be desired if this is in your bedroom as you may want constant white noise. This is perfect for my office, i have a couple computers in there and I stay comfortable working.

  • A: we own a couple and you have to make sure it is on a slight angle out the window (back is downwards just slightly) this way it will drip out the back of the unit. If you have it completely straight, it will leak into the house when it rains, this has happened to me before.

  • A: The number is the present temperature, except the moment when you touch the arrow up or down buttons, then it's the desired temperature being set.
