I love my new Lagostina!

I bought this to replace another one I had from a different maker. I love it. It's beautiful, and it goes from stove top to oven and to the table. This is a small size, so it's still easy to lift. The bigger size is very heavy but yet, very nice as well. Lagostina is very well made and the price is right.

Enamel chipped first use

The dish did a good job cooking the first meal I cooked in it but I was a bit disappointed when the edge of the lid lid slightly tapped the edge of the dish and a piece of enamel chipped off. Didn't take away from the yummy rice potatos and chicken we made... it just blemished the beautiful white coating.

A: No seasoning is required for these pots. They wash very easily. Just soak in soapy water if you cook a roast or chicken. These are excellent quality pots.

Q: Hi, I bought Lagostina 7 qt enamelled cast iron Casserole and on the box stating: Oven 26 C - 500 F but on the label inside that stating: Oven 204 C - 400 F. My question is: which information is correct??

A: This question has been asked a couple of times already and it appears to be 500°. I've never used mine in the oven yet.

A: Hi, you can use this Dutch oven on electric, gas or induction cooking. I love making stews and beans in the oven. It’s great for searing your meat on the stovetop before placing it on the oven for roasting. It’s a pot that will last you a lifetime if you care for it properly. Enjoy!
