This is perfect at keeping your coffee or tea nice and hot all day. I filled this up with my coffee at 7 am and by 3 it was still warm. Not hot but obviously I wouldn’t expect that. Definitely a great product

Poor sip design - Burned my lip

Unfortunately my experience with this mug has not been good. The design of the shipping area is not comfortable or safe in my opinion. The shape of rim where you drink from caused hot liquid to hit my upper lip directly which resulted in a burn .
My upper lip stayed painful for about three days.For a travel mug that is meant for hot drinks, the drinking edge should be designed in a way that prevents that kind of issues .
I like the insulation and the mug keeps drinks hot but the sipping design needs improvement.

Because of this, the sipping area is designed to allow controlled flow from the lid opening, but we understand that the shape and flow may not feel comfortable for everyone. Your feedback about how the liquid reached your upper lip is very helpful and will be shared with our product team as we continuously review and improve our lid and rim designs.
We do appreciate you mentioning that the insulation performance met your expectations. However, we completely understand that the drinking experience is just as important as temperature retention. This is my second item from Contigo. It’s a very good product and that’s why am so unhappy with my second item. The lid is close but it keeps leaking. My blouse got wet when I took a sip from it. Have to open it to drink from it . I recommend this item it’s good just the leaking.
