Good quality griddle

I bought this for grilling meat and vegetables on a BBQ and a Coleman Naptha camp stove. I did season it with Canola oil at 375F for an hour before first use. I tried it out on the BBQ for making smash burgers. With the BBQ on low, the griddle had a nice even temperature range of 385 to 400F. The griddle is thick enough to evenly distribute the heat. It’s a good pan, I recommend it.

Just what I needed for my camp cooking/tailgate kit

This fit perfectly on my Coleman 2-burner camping stove and recently cooked up some burgers and dogs on it. Used it right out of the box--it is pre-seasoned. Seemed to cook evenly and had no trouble with the clean up (properly seasoned). As with all cast iron cookware, after cleaning up, I gave it a proper light coating of oil before packing back into my gear box with the stove (again, the dimensions of each worked out perfectly). Handy and decently priced. Very happy with this product.

Warped don't waste your money on the Lagostina Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Reversible Grill, Oven & BBQ Safe, Black, 20-in x 10-in grill. Returned the first one got another and opened at the return desk it was warp too. Got my money back.

  • A: Cast iron is NOT recommended for induction stoves by manufacturer's. I suppose it means use at your own risk?! We purchased ours for use while camping.

  • A: I use it on top of two elements on my gas stove I think it would scratch a glass top Stove. We love it. We make pancakes on it every Sunday morning and it’s still in great shape two years later.

  • A: I use soap and hot water. Scrub it with steel wool, rinse and put in on the stove at minimum heat to dry. I only do this a few times a year. Otherwise I just wipe it with paper towels.

Q: Would it get damaged if I stored it in my BBQ during -35C weather? Before using I would bring it into the house and let it warm up at room temperature.

Q: How well does this heat on a glass top stove?  Worried that the raised edges on the grill side will keep it from resting on the burners making it not heat well and evenly when using the smooth side for pancakes etc.
