Very disappointed

From the get-go, the shelves on both sides of the grill were crooked due to bent brackets and there was no drip tray. I had to send off for these parts, and in the case of the brackets, there are no instructions on how to remove the bent ones and replace with the new ones. The temperature gauge on the grill fogged up on my second use and has not un-fogged. The edges of the lid where steel meets black have burn marks after less than a month's use. Parts of the grill get hot while other parts do not. I'd return it to the store if it weren't so heavy and if it fit through my patio door, but it would be a waste of my time to disassemble it, load it into my truck myself, drive all the way back to the store and unload it off my truck myself...so I'm forced to keep it. I'm only giving an additional star because it's still an upgrade from my previous BBQ, but that's a pretty low bar.

Very disappointed

Not only was the grill missing pieces, some pieces were damaged. Trying to get through to someone at Napoleon for service took forever and I'm still waiting on my replacement parts. The stainless is also heavily scratched after only a few weeks' use. I'd gladly return this grill and get a different one, but it's extremely heavy and does not fit through my patio door fully assembled so I'm stuck with it. CT has been no help throughout this ordeal, telling me to contact Napoleon or return the grill...which as noted above is much easier said than done especially when my family and friends are all in the USA.

Poorly built.

Bought this bbq last fall. I have an 11 year Legend that is awesome and I have rebuilt to new condition. The LD4 model is very flimsy and the wheels would not be good enough to put on a kids toy. The wheels are absolutely brutal. Very disappointed.

A: I think only the top end Napoleon models are built in Canada. Seems that all the low end Napoleon BBQs are built in China.

Q: Any problems cleaning/maintaining the cast iron grates?

A: We recommend a brass bristle brush for regular maintenance on our cast iron cooking grids. Please ensure the grids have cooled before using the brush. We also recommend you season your grids a couple time a year, depending on how often you use your grill. Seasoning process consists of using something high in saturated fats, lathered all over the cooking grids, and then baking them within your grill around 300 degrees F. This will ensure they stay "moisturized" and will help mitigate surface oxidation. We have many resources on our website, as well as on our YouTube channel, Napoleon Products. www.napoleon.com

A: You can connect to either. We have a natural gas line right to BBQ. It is expensive BBQ for what you get. Discoloured within year, do not like that back is open to weather elements. 3/5 rating
