Q: Assuming it is a normal 25° C ambient temperature, what is the maximum temperature the grill can reach on natural gas with the lid closed?
3 years agoA: Unable to answer as i use propane..... however before purchase of this unit , which is actually the second one i have bought ( 1 for myself and 1 for my son) we shopped a number number of outlets and look at 10 to 15 BBQ's.... This unit had , in the size chosen , seemed to have the more sturdy build with a thick and heavy lid. In my experience the thicker the material especially in the lid or cover tends to make for more consistent heat and often more heat. We even use the unit in the winter months and it doesn't seem to use a lot more propane to reach cooking temperature plus it hold the temp well. What is key I find is to ensure the cooking grill is clean and the unit is not in the wind or is sheltered from wind. In summary i use propane however feel this unit is good value for the money from a performance prospective ...... the question is will it stand the test of time.

Q: What is the upper warming rack made of? Is it the material as the main grill rack which is porcelain coated cast iron?

Q: We assembled our VC Vanguard 2 burner. What is the chain for?
6 years agoA: The chain is there for an alternative ignition option for you to use with a match, if you ever need to use it. However, the electronic ignition will be your primary source of starting your BBQ.

Q: Anyone have anything new to add to their review after 4 months of ownership?
6 years agoA: I wrote a positive review a year ago, and after using the BBQ in winter as well as summer, I'm impressed. Not had any of the issues with rain or leaking grease from other reviews, it takes a while to get to temperature in the winter (but that's to be expected) and it's the perfect footprint for our patio. Still looks good too, just a bit of discolouration round the temperature gauge. Five stars!

5 years agoA: Thanks for the question. You do require the conversion kit in order to convert your barbecue over to natural gas. If and when you do, there are instructions included in your barbecue assembly manual. We hope this helps!

Q: I just bought mine about 3 weeks ago, and used it 4 times so far. I feel I am getting too much orange flame, whether I am on low, medium or high; and it gets very hot even on the lowest setting. Is this normal?
