The right bike

All my life I have had a road bike but as I age the time had come for me to move to more of a hybrid bike primarily for riding around town but with the occasional excursion. The Raleigh Hybrid fits the bill perfectly. It is easy to ride and is robust enough for riding on grit and light gravel as well as pavement. I am already enjoying it and look forward to quite a few years of riding on a bike that serves my needs well.

Better assembly needed on a higher end bike.

Waited all season for this bike to go on sale, which it finally did a couple of weeks ago. Had to ask a friend to pick it up, we were out of town. When I go home, I find I can’t enjoy the bike, because it needs a tune-up — lowest shifter won’t go from 1st to 2nd wheel, jumps right to 3rd sprocket. On the way back, sometimes will shift to 2nd, sometimes won’t…stays stuck. Clearly whoever assembled it didn’t test it. And I now have to impose, again, on a friend with a truck to get it back to the store to correct the problem.
