it's a bit pricey but worth it because you know it will burn. it's kiln dried and not green and makes fire not smoke. i use it to get a good base going and then add the park wood once it's hot enough to burn anything

Pieces too large to start a fire without chopping into smaller bits.

Pieces are just super thick and impossible to chop with a hatchet. Also purchased kindling and hoped the one would be enough to get the other going, but needed more middle sized pieces. Don’t have a huge axe at home to chop them up smaller, so might be perfect if you’re able to do that at home for yourself.
