Q: The old worn-out cartridge in my Delta 2-handle faucet had a spring and seal beneath it. Does this cartridge need a spring and seal beneath it, or does the new design not require them?

A: Hello Frab, Thank you for your inquiry. The RP60400 is a ceramic cartridge for our newer diamond seal technology faucets and are not interchangeable.
