Q: looking for filter to clear lake water (not to drink, shop use only) currently have 3 rain fresh units in series. 5m, 1m, 1m sediment seems ok but water has colour. would this filter work

A: If the existing 1 micron filter is not removing the colour, a chlorine filter likely will not help. Reverse osmosis would be the solution.

A: No affect on flow, not designed to function as a filter, rather carbon removes poor odor / gas's in water (eg chorline, sulfur) To remove fine particulates, use additional filter with 1 - 5 micron filter

Q: Will this filter fit the Rainfresh FC005 model?

A: Yes Rainfresh CF2 chlorine reduction filter cartridge (621032 & 621038 (2-pk) ) will fit Rainfresh FC005 (621025). You can also use Rainfresh CA1 filter cartridge (621084) which reduces chloramines as well as chlorine.

A: Hi Laurie, This filter cartridge is 9.75" long and 2.6" diameter. It will fit most filter housings that use 10"x2.5" cartridges. If you have questions relating to fitting into a specific housing, please contact Rainfresh customer service at 1800 667 8072.Thank you!
