Champion Thought of everything, quality, easy to assemble and great performance. This log splitter surpasses my old splitter, faster, more powerful, works in the coldest of weather. Great purchase.

No oil filter on the return hose like other models

After buy it I discover the machine only comes with an internal oil filter but not an external after the returne hose line, that means all the little metals from pump and system going inside of the tank, why other same models like 100424 comes with it and this one no? probably to save money, I contacted Champion to ask why and they respond showing me the parts # and the number to call to buy it, so I pay full price for this machine and I need to pay for that? and other thing, they do not include any oil, neither the engine one so be prepared to add another 200 dollars to buy hydrauilic oil and Engine oil to have the machine ready to work!
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: You can tow it with a 2” hitch. Of course a trailer would also work. The tires are rated for 50 mil/hr. So approximately 70km/h. Trailer if you’re going on the highway or tow it directly at lower speeds.

A: It has been quite some time. I thought the engine oil was in the box but had to go out and purchase the hydraulic oil separately.

A: No it doesn’t come assembled but it is straight forward with good instructions. If you purchase make sure to purchase the hydraulic oil for it if you don’t live close to a town. Ive had no issues with mine and I’ve had it for 3 years and has split close to 20 cords. I keep two building heated with wood.

A: If it is hydraulic oil you are referring to it is at least 20 litres, I’m thinking I got a 19 or 20 litre pail and another 4 litre jug to get it to proper level

A: It does but it does not always return to full retract. I've used mine now for about 2 years and only occasionally is it an annoyance.
