Disappointed

I had the Worx Edger/Trimmer for almost 20 years and loved it. Unfortunately, it broke so I ordered a new one. This also came with a blower. I'm very disappointed with the Edger. I have to stop edging, every 1-2 feet, to pull out more string. As soon as I start to edge, the string cuts back to about one inch. This barely touches the grass. I'm hoping that the problem is with the spool, and when I change it, things will be better. The old edger was battery powered as well, but this one is much heavier. I'm not a fan, but hope this will improve with a different spool

I have had a worx trimmer for about 8 years batteries are not holding charge so I bought the trimmer blower combo as a replacement. the trimmer is better than before its taller much better for the back and works great. blower is great for small areas well worth the purchase very satisfied.

A: I’ve had my Worx tools for about 15 years; trimmer, blower, and hedge trimmer. I always keep the chargers and batteries in the house, but the tools are in the shed. Never a problem.

Q: Why does the spool it’s self in a coasting mode and not a locking mode ? It just kinda runs free with no resistance .it doesn’t lock into a stationary position.this is a wg941 nitro combo . Thank you

A: Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. The WG941 string trimmer and the string trimmer included in the WG929 combo kit both use the same free‑spool system, and the behavior described is normal for this design. These models are not built with a locking mechanism that holds the spool in a fixed position. Instead, the spool is intended to rotate freely, with line control managed by internal resistance and line tension once the tool is operating. When the trimmer is turned off, the spool may spin or “coast” with little resistance, which is expected and does not affect performance during use.
