I purchased this fan be ause of 2 features: multiple speed choices, and the ability to reverse direction via remote. This fan is unbelievably quiet. You can hear the movement of air at speed 5 and 6, but not the fan itself. Speed 1 has been described as a breeze and I agree. I can already feel the temperature difference as it lifts cool air from the lower level. I will not use the light feature but note it provides a variety of light settings and too bright for me at the higher settings. A great purchase. No complaints from this satisfied customer.

I've had this fan up for a couple weeks and it's already making a horrible ticking sound. It's not from how it's mounted or from the blades being unbalanced, it's coming from inside the unit. Even when you spin it slowly it makes the sound. Of course I already got rid of the box and receipt, so now I'm going to have to take this thing apart to see what's going on in there.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can it be flush mounted to the ceiling? What are the shortest dimensions?

  • A: I attached mine directly to the ceiling it doesn’t have rods that drop down like most others so from the ceiling to the very end of the light is 11”” and the blades are about 8” from the calling

Q: can the fan be controlled from a wall outlet or only the remote?
