I bought this paint for my fireplace. Since I hadn't gotten around to doing it myself, I asked my painter to do it. He followed all the directions, but the paint would intermittently "spit" and we ended up with blobs of paint. We thought maybe my paint was too old (just over 2 years), so I bought a new can, he sanded off the blobs, and tried again. However, it happened again He said he had never had this problem with spray paint before. We eventually managed to get an acceptable look, but it required extra sandings and living with some smaller blobs.

Q: Is it good for car exhaust or muffler ?

A: I haven’t used it on a muffler however I have used rustoleum in several projects like the frame of a swing, outdoor chairs, fire pit (used high heat), and a tin fence. All have lasted well over 5 yrs and through some harsh conditions. Also I have used various colours as well as some metallic colours and no complaints with any colors. Ensure to follow the instructions for best results.

Q: Is this product good for an interior gas stove top grills ?

A: Hi SilD, We do not recommend using our Rust-Oleum High Heat Ultra on gas stove top grills as the coating will not be able to withstand the amount of heat it will be exposed to. The coating will crack and start to peel off.
