Q: Hello, I want to repaint an aluminum roof rack for my SUV. Lightly sanding the old paint not removing the paint. There are some small patches of bare alum. Will the product stick to the bare alum? Thanks Vince
2 years agoA: To be safe I would buy a can of the self etching primer and spray the bare alum with that first if you want it to last.

Q: Can it be painted over with a different color?
7 years agoA: Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating is paintable. Once the product is thoroughly dried lacquer or enamel paint can be used. Our recommendation would be to wait 5-7 days for the product to thoroughly set up and then paint.
