Needed 2 kits to cover 4 - 19 inch wheels. The results where very good. The paint goes on nicely and is very forgiving as I had one run in the paint that just disappeared.

Clear Coat Spray Pattern BAD

The kit does not include a primer and a prime coat is recommended. I used a white primer so the colour of the Hyper Silver would be free of any undertones that might come from a grey or other coloured primer. The top coat works fine but the spray pattern on the clear coat is not good. The spray pattern is concentrated at the edges with little spray in the center portion, This makes it very dificult to get even coverage and cuases orange peeling and runs. I'd have returned my Hyper Silver kits if I hadn't used the base coat already. To fix the issues caused by Duplicolor's clear coat spray pattern I've had to sand down the first two coats I applied and then use Dominion Sure Seal LTD Instant Clear-Coat Hi-Gloss Finish instead. This product DOES have an even spray pattern and makes it much easier to get even coverage.

Decent for the purpose

Used to paint 4 17" rims, bought self etching primer and also sanded beforehand, came out not bad. Not perfect, but good enough. You're not looking at it front 3 inches away anyway!

A: Cela prends environs un kit pour 1roue peut être 2 maximum. Préparé votre surface et appliquer une couche de gris de façon grossière, la deuxième appliquer bien, toujours vous déplacez rapidement avec la canette. Et la troisième même choses pour un fini "wet" et lisse placez vous à environs 6" à 8" et allez y d'un trait sans rester au même endroit. 2 couches peuvent suffire pour le Clear. Laissez 24h de séchage entre les deux peintures et brassé vigoureusement les cannettes avant et pendant l'utilisation.

A: Yes, mine turned out nicely with white primer, so gray primer should work mint.

Q: Will this hyper silver product work on plastic hubcaps? Will the paint just flake off? Is there a preparation spray to help it adhere?

A: Paint is designed for metal, however do not purchase this product if you are looking for silver because it is actually blue.

A: No... but sand with 200 or 300 grit dust and/or tack cloth... then a voat of adhesion promoter will make it last much longer.
