Primer sealer

Very easy to apply. You need to make sure you prep properly sanded down to bare metal. The. Apply light even coats before applying top coat.

Sprays smooth and even

I like the Rust-oleum automotive primer sealer. The nozzle sprays exceptionally even and restarts after having had a time delay between areas being worked. Drys quickly and adheres well. It’s still looking great from being applied over two months ago. Recommended, worked great for my spot repairs.

Paint spreads evenly and dries fast from can batch to can batch there are some very slight difference in color but since this is a primer that is not an issue

Q: A Rust-Oleum video indicated that primer sealer needs to be used over self-etching primer. Is there any difference in performance between Rust-Oleum 257738 and 249321? For an automotive application with some bare metal.

A: Hi Michael, Great question! Those two products are the same. The difference is 257738 is sold in Canada and 249321 is only sold in the US. Performance and durability will be the same.
