Unreliable Auto-Sensing Head – Poor Performance on Carpet and Stairs

The auto-sensing head isn’t good or reliable. On carpeted stairs it performs especially poorly—every time you move to the next step it switches back to floor mode, then takes about 5 seconds to re-detect carpet again. That constant delay makes stair cleaning much slower and more frustrating than it should be. On regular carpet it also randomly switches from carpet mode to floor mode because the detection isn’t accurate. There’s no manual option to lock it into carpet mode, so if it gets stuck in floor mode you’re forced to wait for it to re-detect—if it even does so consistently. Overall, it feels like a feature that could stop working properly over time, leaving you stuck in floor mode on carpet with no control. Because of that, I would not recommend it for carpet or carpeted stairs.

Better than the Dyson

Cheaper than the Dyson, lighter than the Dyson, don't have to hold the trigger the whole time you use it, cleans better than the Dyson. As someone who has used both, get the Shark.
