Almost perfect

This humidifier is almost perfect. It's easy to clean, the directional mist is excellent. However, it does shatter a bit when knocked to the ground. Normally, this wouldn't and shouldn't be an issue. Why would someone knock a humidifier to the ground? Has it offended them? Are they so careless with their limbs as to fling them about? Apparently yes. I'm about to buy my third of this exact humidifier because two separate men have knocked my humidifier off the table where it has done a beautiful job. I highly recommend this humidifier UNLESS you have flailing men around, in which case maybe hide it in the closet until they leave.

Cheap plastic

I bought this a couple months ago. It was quiet and easy to clean but It fell off the kitchen counter and cracked so it’s unusable. The plastic is very cheap. I’ve had Honeywell humidifiers for years and they haven’t cracked once after it’s fallen on the ground!

Stopped working

The machine seemed to work fine at first. We used it maybe 6 times total over an extended period since we only needed it when our kids had croup coughs. One day it just stopped turning on. Very disappointing.

Garbage!

Save your money. Do not buy this! Worked a few times & Returned the first one.. and this one worked a few times & started leaking. After troubleshooting...made sure float was in place again & again-worked a few times. Pulled it out this season & leaking everywhere (luckily had it on a tray)! Warranty only is only 90 days... Would give this a zero or negative number rating if available.

Quiet humidifier that works well

Definitely worth the money. The color changing light is a little gimmicky but that doesn’t stop me from using it. It’s super quiet - I have fairly sensitive hearing and I don’t notice any noise from this at all. It’s easy to fill, can go at least 24 hours on high without needing a refill, and puts out a decent amount of moisture. I’m very happy with this purchase and am considering getting a second one to replace a different brand I bought that makes an annoying humming noise.

Q: I bought this unit because everyone mentions the “ sound machine” option. What am I missing ??

  • A: There is a sound machine on this model that is sold in the US on the Crane website. I believe that is where some of the reviews are from. The CT model doesn't have that option, the US picture shows an icon on the left beside power button (opposite of light icon).

Q: What essential oil or scented pads products are compatible with this model? Unsure if the Vick's pads will fit or which crane pads (are they only available online) are designed for this humidifier.

  • A: crane sells their own vapor pads but i am sure you can use vicks if you insert it into the slot at the base. They reccommend you dont add it directly to water.

Q: Can one use an essential oil with this humidifier? Does this product have any special compartment for it? Thank you.

  • A: You must use their sleep vapor pads (or other flavors) - Crane pads only and yes there is a compartment inside the unit. They recommend not dropping oil in the water. Il fut utiliser les tampons de vapeur Crane seulement et les insérer dans le compartiment spécial à l'intérieur de l'unité. Crane re commande de ne pas mettre de gouttes d'huile essentielle dans l'eau.. seulement les tampons Crane- diverses senteurs ( non médicinales)
