Got this air purifier on a whim because it was on sale and I figured why not. Surprisingly it actually does a really good job of clearing a single (not master) sized bedroom. You can feel the difference in the 'quality' of air if that makes sense, and for the sales price it was definitely worth it, enough that I would consider other Honeywell products in the future

Q: There is a patch of mold on my bedroom ceiling. I know the machine won't remove the mold, but will it remove it from the air I am breathing at night?

  • A: Mold can be very dangerous and often goes much deeper than you can see. I would recommend having someone come remove and inspect for cause. Mold removal may even be covered by insurance.

Q: How does it work for cigarette smoke?

The carbon pre-filter layer will also help reduce some of the gases created by cigarette smoke. Q: Why is it when I put in a new and correct filter and push reset filter button the red light still stays on? filter

  • A: I am not an expert on HEPA filters but their job is to filter out (or trap in the filter) dust, pollen, microbes/bacteria, and mold if it is airborne. Note: This will not remove the mildew from the walls or from surfaces.

Q: Would this filter out fragrances, e.g. perfume? I have severe chemical sensitivities and can't be around any fragrances. I am desperate for a solution to keep my shared house fragrance-free. Would this be a good option, at least for one room?

This may not remove all of the fragrance from perfume from the air.
