Annoying child lock!! Beware!

Works well but I HATE, HATE, HATE the ridiculous child safety lock without being able to turn off. The door locks tight after it heats something and you have unlock then open. There should be a warning on the box for adults not to by if they don't have kids. Secondly you can't mute the 'finished' beeping, beeps even after you open door, really annoying. A strong DO NOT BUY on this one.

Right size, but disappointed in 2 features

Same microwave I bought 8 years ago, BUT I hate the new Child Lock/UnLock feature and how the keypad is so faint to read. Am I misunderstanding how I CANNOT permanently set it to the UNLOCK setting? Many buyers do not have little children around needing this feature. Plus a lot of us are at an age where our eyes aren't what they once were.

Purchased for the house trailer, however, never used. The control panel is so dark, you cannot make out the commands/numbers in a small kitchen. Would require flashlight to read every time we would use the microwave..

A: Child lock can be turned off by long pressing POWER + STOP + START all at the same time. You should then hear a beep and a message of ON or OFF should flash on the screen. OFF means child lock is off and ON means child lock is on.
