This kettle is the best kettle I have ever used! I love the ability to set the temperature for my specific tea. I did take out the tea basket (it screws off) and added a screw in place of it to have the round top still there as it was difficult to grab the lid without it (to bad it didn't have a screw in the box in case someone wants to do this, but it wasn't a huge deal). I highly recommend this kettle for anyone who love's tea and wants the perfect cup every time! Also, side note: If you have kids and want to make them a hot chocolate, having the ability to not make so hot of water for the hot chocolate is so nice!

I bought it about a month ago and I love it I'm telling you everyone should get it it's like it so I just love it it's I love it I love it you should all go pick up one cause it's worth the money OK and Canadian Thai has it go to the store as the customer service if you don't know where it is they will show you where it is so you go get yours OK I love it

Q: is the steeping basket removable?

  • A: Yes, it is! You can unscrew it from the lid. It does take off the top part of the lid's handle (the part that rises with the basket, you can see it in review photos), but you can still use the bottom part to open it. There's also a small hole left from where the basket post was, but I haven't noticed any effect on the kettle's function with it there :) I just store the removed lid part inside the unused basket so as not to lose it.
