Q: When in Bagel mode, isn't one of the elements in each slot supposed to turn off? On other toasters I have owned, bagel mode only toasted one side of the bagel, leaving the outside untoasted. However, on this toaster, and a previous B&D model, there does not seem to be any difference between regular toast mode and bagel mode.

  • A: Thank you for your interest in this Black+Decker toaster. To activate this feature, press the toast control lever down until it locks into place, and then press the Bagel button. Pressing the button before the toast control lever is locked into place will not activate the feature. The bagel button is used to toast foods such as bagels or English muffins. The Bagels and English muffins are thicker and take longer than regular bread to toast. When using this feature the inside of the bagel will be toasted and the outside of the bagel will be warmed. The inside elements will heat up more than the outer elements and may appear that only the inner elements are working. If you need further assistance, I’d be happy to help! Q: I've been looking for a new toaster for some time and the majority of displays have the cord cut/removed. Can anyone tell me how long the cord is and where it exits the machine? Our old sunbeam (being replaced) has a front cord exit and it's super short

Q: I see a LOT of bad reviews about the left side from 2009 and 2010 it is now 2017 has the problem been resolved with the left side?
