An aweful product with aweful support!!!

After only a year and a half this unit started leaking coolant ! Green residue in the water collecting basin. Great news though the product contains a 2 year warranty i find out. I called the customer return number and they told me they needed a receipt. We'll who collects receipts for two years never mind a month even. So I was told I wasted 400 hard earned dollars on a piece of junk mass produced with faulty parts. Im very disappointed with canadian tire for leaving me in this humid hot summer with nothing but regrets for shopping there for the last 35 years. Lesson learned I guess. Do not buy!!!!

As many other reviews say, died after a couple years, appears to run, can hear the compressor kick on but bucket is bone dry. Stay away from this product like other people say!

I gave this 2 stars because the product worked well for 2 years, now it is dead, runs but does not do any dehumidifying. Just past warranty period, ...... that figures. Now have to go and purchase another one but will NOT be buying another NOMA. Certainly do not recommend this product.

A: The E9 error is a commonly reported problem that I am also dealing with. Noma should figure out why their units have the problems that lead to the E9 error and fix their design or manufacturing process; otherwise, they will lose customers like me. I was told by the company that looks after replacement parts for this brand that repetitive E9 error was due to leaking refrigerant, not the sensor. Dehumidifiers should last more than a few springs and summers. If Noma can design and build one that reliably lasts 5-10 years, is easy to maintain, and is fairly priced for the quality, they will regain my support.

Q: I plan to use garden hose to drain the unit to a floor drain which is only 3ft away. Do I have to use the pump option or simply let gravity drain the dehumidifier?

A: Yes, gravity drain is one of the three options. Just connect a length of cut off garden hose (or any hose with female adaptor) through the side access door and water will flow down your hose to a drain instead of into the bucket. Saves a lot of emptying the bucket and allows the unit to run continuously. Pump option is only needed when water must be lifted higher to drain in laundry tub etc.

A: A) It is NOT a pipe It is a HOSE.. B) Click on the MANUAL in the middle of this page... OR... read the one that came with your unit... OR... go the website of the manufacturer and read it for yourself. C) The manual says 3/4" (19mm) hose.
