This is a long lasting coffee maker. (CM)The workhorse of coffee makers. We have many brands of CM, expensive and cheaper models, but this the best performer. Long lasting warming plate. We highly recommend this!

Slides across countertop

The machine functions as it should (brews a basic cup). It is sturdy and, as i mentioned, performs as it should for the price point. A major issue I noticed quickly is that it is very unstable on the countertop. The bumpers on the bottom of the machine are insufficient, and the machine, full or empty, slides across the countertop with the smallest of touch. Can't imagine this to be safe when brewing. I will be returning this item as I feel it is insufficient safety wise.

Q: 4 hrs for the auto shut off to turn this fire hazard off, is too long. Here's an idea. Have a coffee drinker help design these things. And the other fire hazard coffee makers I have seen listed that don't even have a auto shutoff, should be illegal!
