    Went on smooth

    My old ford lugs had swelled from 19mm all the way to 21mm, so it was time to replace them before they cracked. Took the old ones off and these new ones went on very smooth, I could spin them on finger tight before torquing them down incredibly easily. Only complaint is the price, but if they make it past a few years then they'll have broke even compared to needing another replacement of the two piece ones.

    Capped lugs nut are on my daughter's Jeep, my friend's Jeep and my friend's Ford Edge. Why oh why? Because they are shiny? I like lug nuts that consistently slip onto my socket, and more importantly, easily slip out of the socket. I don't understand why OEM lug nuts, kind of important, are capped and when the nut inside swells, or a wrench slips, the cap gets all twisted and messed up. Lug nuts and lug bolts are supposed to work... especially when you are needing them to work when conditions aren't favourable.

    Made in the USA, not the cheap fragile tin coated brand. Yep, they would work fine if they weren't standard (I needed metric), so I exchanged them.

    Q: Special tool Description says a special tool is needed to remove these. Are they not just a pkg. of 1/2 x 20 lug nuts. 3/4" socket to remove

    • A: You are correct, this is a package of 4 chrome bulge style cone seat lug nuts in a 1/2-20 thread size with a 3/4" hex. To install or remove all you need is a 3/4" hex lug wrench, socket, etc. It appears that somehow the description for this part is incorrect as it looks like a wheel lock set description which this part is NOT. The lug nuts are guaranteed for life not to rust, chip or peel. Thank you for your inquiry!
