False Advertisement

When you buy a charger like this, it is not just the right physical ports that you are looking for, it is the amp/watt rating. I needed at least 36 watts on either of the USB-C outputs for my Starlink Mini in the car. Plus, would be nice to be able to charge a phone or a power bank in parallel.
The Canadian Tire's description and specs say "It provides 45W USB-C Power Delivery for fast charging", as well as "Output Amperage (amps): 3 A, Output Voltage (V) 12 V". The latter matches the picture, which shows"3A" under the USB-C slot. This was suspicious right away, because 3*12=36 watts only, not the 45 claimed in the Product Details and Features sections. My hope was that the built-in USB-C cable output would be up to 45W, maybe concurrently with the other, a reduced power, USB-C output. That would be logical and would be fine.
So, the question to the advertisement is: On what exact port the declared "45W of USB-C Power Delivery for fast charging" is provided? And the answer in fact is: None. Well, do I get at least the 12V*3A=36W? No! Not even 30W, on either port, ever. If you read carefully what the ratings on the box state, it can be interpreted as "up to 30W on the cabled port" and "up to 15A" on the other two combined. The "up to 30W" apparently, based on my test, means 28.1W at best, that is with the car voltage as high as 14.4V.
Even though you can argue that the specs on the box, formally, don't lie, you cannot say the same about what is posted on the Canadian Tire website. I call it a false advertisement. It cost us time and the trouble of an extra visit to the store to return the charger.
If the Product Details and the Features sections' drafts are provided to Canadian Tire by the manufacturers or suppliers, they should be either verified by the CT team (against the actual specs per the box or manual), or at least there should be a severe punishment for sneaking in such misleading specifications - when the trick or negligence is discovered.
