To be installed on an older summer car (convertible) after 1 May. Initial off-car trial shows excellent graphics and likely an easy, acceptable installation. Monitor (12V) power from conventional cigarette lighter but would be more useful were it a USB.

What an awesome solar powerd back up camera!

I bought the camera 2 days ago at Canadian Tire's Country Hills Blvd store in Calgary. Packaging is attractive, a instruction sheet as you unpack the contents is clear, as is the user manual. Before installing, I fully charged the camera. Rear plate installation was straightforward. -- I used the standard installation, and luckily, there is enough room to lift the trunk latch. Where to mount it on dash was the biggest decision. The vehicle's MMI monitor became a good guide. Peeling off the 3M double sided tape on the disk that rests on the dash was problematic and I finally had to use a very thin knife to lift it off. Installed the camera monitor just behind the MMI screen, so that when the MMI monitor comes up, the rear view monitor is just a few cms above it. Very pleased with the purchase and the 6.8" monitor provides a wide view. The picture quality is superb. Highly recommend it. Have registered the device for an additional 1 year warranty. Hoping for continued great usage, as I have had it on the car for just a day!
