A more secure connection for batteries offering both top and side terminals top post is better

O.K to use with modifications.

The biggest problem is the positive cable would not fit on a top post positive terminal as it was too small. The top post terminal had to be enlarged, then the supplied bolt wasn't long enough and had to be replaced with a bolt 1/2 inch longer. Other than that the only other thing we did was wrapped the connection at the side post terminals in electrical tape to seal them from moisture better. After the necessary modifications (& time to modify) the adapters worked just fine.

Q: Can this product be used to connect 2 identical batteries in parallel? If not, what is recommended?

A: This product is not designed for connecting batteries. The cables you would use depend on the post type of your battery. Please see our selection of 4-gauge and 1-gauge battery cables under the Battery Cables & Hold Downs such as 011-0961 or 011-1088. You should choose the shortest length of cable practical for your set up.
