Battery charger will not charge completely dead battery, they dont makth like they used too. I'm already looking to sell mine and find a better battery charger to replace this one. Steer clear of this charger.

This unit is a fully automatic battery charger and requires that a battery contains at least 2V remaining in it, so the unit is able to detect and connect to the battery properly. If the battery is completely depleted, this unit may not be able to charge it. Love Dewalt stuff except this item

So I picked this charger up on sale . Normally Dewalt is my absolute go to for tools on the farm . This charger had mixed reviews but it was on sale so I took a chance and out of the box it would not turn on and although it may have just been a loose connection or something I didn’t want to take a chance taking it apart to see as I wouldn’t be able to return it . I still have great faith in Dewalt tools but not this battery charger I will pick another brand

A: This model features reverse polarity protection, which needs to detect 2+ volts from the battery and to properly confirm the correct polarity and battery type. This battery charger will not charge a battery with less than 2+ volts.
