I bought this sleeping bag for backpacking Central and South America. Great little bag, very light weight for the price and have used it during the Summer months in Algonquin and Tobermory.

    Not worth the price

It is just as warm as a fleece. It was mid summer and I was freezing cold... Also, tears up easily. Good compact size though. But you could just bring a fleece.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great sleeping bag

I bought this sleeping bag 2 years ago and have used it on several occasions, probably 80 nights of sleep so far and find it to be a really great sleeping bag for the price. It is light, compact, doesn't have any moisture issues and the zipper functions without any unexpected hassle. I've just returned from a 4 day trip in Algonquin Park and we were expecting some very cold temps on Saturday morning, around 0 degrees celsius, so I added a fleece liner and was toasty warm. I can't say enough 'good' about this product, in fact I've recommended it to several friends who've all bought it and are similarly impressed with the performance.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: How far does the zipper go around? Is it only on one seam or is it such that if completely unzipped you could use it as a blanket?

    1 Answer
    • A: The Microlite Rectangular SB has a full zipper length. It goes around the bag and uses a two-way zip so that the bag can be unzipped and used as a throw or blanket.
